Saddle bags (anti buoyancy bags)

Saddle bags, also known as anti-buoyancy bags, are a system consisting of a pair of geotextile bags connected with a strap that is placed over underground pipelines, particularly in gas and petroleum applications. The saddle bags work to counteract buoyancy forces and help prevent the pipelines from floating to the surface.
